VINNIE'S FANS REMEMBER ..............

Bill Kingsley

Shepherdsville. KY

Favorite Routine: The Streak

" You guys were the best thing that ever happened to O'Malley's Corner. They should have made the whole complex one big Vinnie's. It was always a big treat for my wife and I to come to Vinnie's on a Saturday night. Thanks for the many years of fun."

Carol Crosby

New Albany, IN

Favorite Routine: Temptations / Four Tops Medley

"We still can't believe it's gone.Vinnie's was always rockin' when we were there. You all had the best crowd in the whole place. My friends and I still get a big laugh talking about some of the things you used to do on stage. We miss doing The Hustle. Any chance of a reunion show in the future?"

Diane Lewis

St. Matthews, KY

Favorite Routine: Strokin'

"You guys were so crazy. I'm surprised that one guy didn't get arrested for running around almost naked all the time. I remember always feeling safe in Vinnie's. There was always some cute security guards in there and they really made you feel at ease and welcome. WE MISS YOU ALL. "

Todd Cahill

Salem, IN

Favorite Routine: Grease Medley

"My buddies and I used to hang out there what seemed like every weekend. It was the place to be to have fun and see all of the pretty ladies. As a matter of fact, I met my wife there. We were doing the Hustle and met when you would stop and ask people to introduce themselves to someone they didn't know. The rest is history. The music was always the best thing about the place. One lady wrote about a reunion show. Do you think that will ever happen? "

Ashley Weller

Middletown, KY

Favorite Routine: Mickey

"My 1st visit to Vinnie's was for my 21st birthday. I don't remember much about that night other than getting really drunk. However, Vinnie's became our favorite place to dance on the weekend. The music was always awesome and we loved watching you guys on stage. I actually got to do Strokin' on stage one night."

NOTE FROM DAVE "THE ICEMAN" DRUMMOND:

" I'M SURE THAT ONE DAY, ROCKIN' SLICK RICK AND MYSELF WILL DO A REUNION SHOW. NOTHING IS IN THE WORKS AT THIS TIME. WHEN IT HAPPENS, I'M SURE THE WORD WILL GET AROUND FAST.

Jennifer Hale

Favorite Routine: The Hustle

"Why did O'Malley's close? Vinnie's was always busy. They should have kept Vinnie's and Coyote's and closed the other stupid clubs with all of the thugs. The girls from our office used to love going to Vinnie's together. We have lots of pictures of you guys. "

Beulah

Vine Grove, KY

Favorite Routine: Strokin'

"My man and I went on a blind date to Vinnie's. Love this club. We were there every weekend. There is no place better. Had lots of memories with you guys and my friends. Miss you guys. Thanks for all the good times."

Cheryl Workman

(formerly of Louisville)

Favorite Routine: The Hustle

"I loved how anyone could feel like they belonged there. The elderly people doing the twist, the different types of people who would enjoy their 80s music. No fighting, everyone was just there to have a blast...and we always did!!!!!!!!!! We have told everyoone we know in OH (our new home) all about Vinnie's. We had plans to bring our friends next month. My heart is crushed that they no longer exist!"

"Can never remember a dull moment in there at all through out all of the years I visited. Started going there in 1999 and till early 2009 prior to the closing.. What a shame to see such a nice place leave all the fans and patrons.. You guys always do one heck of a fund raiser with raising of the flag in February during the National Farm Machinery Show and could never move around due to such a very large crowd during NFMS in February and the Rodeo in November.. Would love to see you guys reopen another club.. And cant' wait to hear about a Reunion..."

Traci Simmons

Nashville, TN

Favorite Routine: Strokin'

My favorite memories of Vinnie's are dancing allll night with my girls and anyone who would ask. Doing "Strokin" with Dave. And always being made to feel so welcome by Dave and Rick. Vinnie's was timeless...people of all ages hanging and having fun together. Thanks for the memories!
